Using the 3X4 Health app

The 3X4 Health app is where you'll view and act on your 3X4 Health test results. The app is free to download, free to use, and free to link your existing 3X4 genetic results to, and there are no subscription fees.

What the 3X4 Health app does

The 3X4 Health app turns your genetic test results into a bespoke health plan. Once your results are ready, the app gives you:

Your Genes First™ plan, highlighting your three highest-impact genetic areas
Pathway Results across 10 health categories, covering vital organ systems like the brain, cardiovascular system, hormones, and weight management
A detailed Genetic Report, down to individual gene results
Tailored food, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations based on your genetics
A downloadable PDF version of your full report

What are the Genes First™ plan and Steps to Success?

Your Genes First™ Plan is a personalized health action plan built from your DNA results and shaped by your own allergies and dietary preferences. It gives you twelve specific actions across three areas, Food, Supplements, and Lifestyle. Every recommendation follows the same layout, telling you what to do, how often to do it, why it is recommended for your genetics, concrete examples such as portions, forms, or timing, and which of your highest-impact pathways it supports.

Steps to Success is the daily companion to your plan. Each day it gives you one action drawn from your results, shown on your home screen with the pathway it supports and an explanation of why it matters for you. Where your Genes First Plan focuses on your three highest-impact pathways, Steps to Success works through the full spectrum of your results, one day at a time, so you always know what to do next without having to plan it yourself.

How is the Genes First plan different from just reading my results?

Your genetic results tell you how your genes work across different pathways. The Genes First Plan translates those results into specific actions you can take. It picks out the three pathways where your DNA has the greatest impact, then builds every recommendation around supporting those three.

3X4 Health app User Guide

Download the App

The 3X4 Health app is available on the App Store and Google Play. Search for "3X4 Health" and download the app to your phone or tablet.

Create your account

Open the app and select Sign Up to create your account. You'll need a valid email address to get started. Otherwise, log in with your existing 3X4 Genetics account details.

Viewing your results & recommendations

Once your sample reaches the lab, processing typically takes 2 to 3 weeks. You'll get a notification in the 3X4 Health app as soon as your results are ready.

If you already have your genetic results, we'll connect them automatically when you log in using the same account details you used to register your 3X4 kit.

To access your results:

Open the 3X4 Health app and select the DNA icon (or your notification, if you received one).
Select any of the 10 Health Categories to explore your Pathway Results in more detail.
Select an individual pathway to see the specific Gene Results behind it, along with a plain-language explanation of what it means for you.

Unlocking your Genes First plan & Steps to Success

Once your results are available, you can build your Genes First plan. Select "Build my plan" from the home screen. After setting your preferences for allergies, dietary restrictions, and eating patterns, select "Build my Genes First plan.

Steps to Success

Where your Genes First Plan shows you where to focus, Steps to Success turns your full set of results into one action a day, so you work through everything your genes point to without having to decide where to start.

Using Steps to Success

Each day, a new step appears on your home screen. It shows you the type of action it is, the pathway it supports, and what to do, along with a short summary and a fuller explanation if you want the detail behind it.

When you have done today's step, mark it complete. If the timing does not suit you, move it to tomorrow instead. Completing steps builds your streak and earns points, and your points move you up through levels as you go. If a step passes without being completed or deferred, it is marked as missed.

Choose the time you would like to be reminded, and we will send you a notification then.

Any food in your upcoming steps is collected into a single grocery list, grouped by category, with duplicates removed. You can shop from one list rather than reading back through each step.

Downloading your full report

If you'd like a copy of your results to keep, print, or share with a healthcare provider:

Go to your Results screen.
Select Download Report.
Your full Genetic Report will save as a PDF to your device.
