How to download your raw genetic data

For customers: Requesting Raw Data from 3X4 Health app

You can download your raw genetic data directly from the 3X4 Health app, no need to email support and wait for a manual reply.

How to download your raw genetic data file

  1. Download the 3X4 Health app from the iStore or Android.
  2. After logging into the app, go to Settings, then Manage My Data.
  3. Tap Download raw genetic data.
  4. Re-authenticate (biometric or password) to confirm it's really you.
  5. Once your file is ready, tap Download Raw Data.
  6. Your device's native share sheet will open. Choose where to save it (Files, iCloud Drive, etc).

You'll get a push notification and a confirmation email as soon as the download completes.

What you'll receive

An encrypted ZIP file (3x4_raw_data_[KITCODE].zip) containing your genotype, CNV, imputation, and TaqMan data, covering 600,000+ SNPs.

Opening the file

The ZIP is password-protected with your date of birth in MMDDYYYY format (e.g., 03151985 for March 15, 1985) that you entered when registering your kit. If you get an error, please contact support@3X4genetics.com in case the date of birth we have on file is incorrect.

Important notes

  • Raw data meets general quality assurance standards, but only a subset of markers have been individually validated by 3X4, so it is for informational purposes only and not for medical or diagnostic use.
  • You must have unlocked your genetic results to access this feature.
  • Each download is a fresh, re-authenticated request. You can download as many times as you need.
  • If you cancel the share sheet before saving, the file is not stored on your device, you'll need to start over.
  • This raw data isn't a personalized report. For an easy-to-read interpretation of your results, see your results within the 3X4 Health app and PDF report instead.
  • Your raw genetic data is highly sensitive. Think carefully before uploading it to third-party tools, including AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, as you can't control how they store or use it.
  • Available on the 3X4 health app, available on iOS and Android only. Raw data download is not available on the website.
