Will 3X4 sell my data?
No. We do not sell your personal or genetic information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We share it only where it's needed to deliver your test and results: with the laboratory that processes your sample, with the practitioner you've chosen to work with if you've consented to that, and with service providers bound by contract to protect it. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How is my identity kept separate from my genetic data?
Your genetic data and your identifying information are held in separate secure systems, so neither can be read as a complete picture on its own.

Your sample itself carries no name. The unique kit code printed on your vial is the only identifier on it, which protects your identity while the sample is in transit and while it's being processed at the lab. The link between that code and you exists only inside our secure systems, created when you register your kit.
